CDHS Prom Information

When: Friday, May 5th, 2017
Where: Penn-Radisson, Camp Hill
Hours: 6 PM-10:30 PM (Dinner at 7 PM)
Ticket Price: approximately $60 (subject to change)
Prom notes are due to the Main Office with your student ID number no later than May 3rd. No early dismissals prior
to 10:45 AM on May 5th will be excused without a doctor’s note.
Students absent from school will not be permitted to attend the prom.
Guests: If you are bringing a guest that is not a Central Dauphin High School student, you must fully complete the
guest form in the main office by May 3rd. This form is available on our website. The minimum grade level for guests is ninth grade and the maximum age is 20.
This is a formal event. Please adhere to the following dress expectations:
• Formal attire must be worn (Dresses, Gowns, Suit /Tie or Tuxedo).
• Strapless / spaghetti strap dresses are allowed.
• Shoes must be worn.
• Dress must be at least mid-thigh in length.
• Slits can be no higher than mid-thigh.
• Backless to waist is permitted. Below waist is not permitted (opposite your belly button).
• No garters or other exposed lingerie / undergarments.
• No boas or sunglasses
• No excessively low cut dresses or tops.
• No bare midriffs.
• Denim Jeans are not permitted.
• No hats, bandanas, chains, sunglasses, or canes.
• Sneakers, Converse, flip-flops, cowboy, hiking, Timberland, or construction boots are not permitted.
Please note the following:
If a student alters their attire in such a way as to violate the specific dress code standards after they have been
admitted into the dance, they will be removed from the dance and may lose the privilege to participate in future
dances. Parents may be notified.
Students who are unsure if their attire meets dress code standards should see a principal prior to the dance.
School Board Policy 226: “Students may be randomly selected to participate in the random breathalyzer test at a school dance; school function or an off grounds school function. Students who refuse to submit to a reasonable cause search or breathalyzer as outlined in this policy shall be immediately suspended from school and referred to the principal's office for appropriate action.”
