Quality to the Core

East Middle School first began as Central Dauphin East Junior High during the 1962-1963 school year.  The colors of East Junior were red and blue.  We were the home of the Patriots.
In 2006, East Junior became East Middle School housing students grades 6 - 8.  Our colors changed to black and white.  We became the "Little Panthers".
In 2008, the school was renovated.  All parts of the building were updated including a brand new kitchen, elevators, and air-conditioning.
Since the opening of East Junior (Middle), there have been three principals:  Mr. William Morris, Mr. Wharton Bittle, and Dr. Robert Holbrook.
These three individuals have been instrumental in maintaining traditions at East Middle and establishing a standard of excellence.
In 2011, East Middle welcomed Mrs. Christine Miller as our new principal.
