Mr. Frederick R. Porter Jr., Assistant Principal
To the students and parents of Linglestown Middle School,
My name is Frederick R. Porter Jr. (Ron), Mr. Porter to students. I would like to formally introduce myself as the new assistant principal at Linglestown Middle School. On November 5, 2018, I transferred over from Central Dauphin High School, where I spent the past six years as an assistant principal. Prior to my time at Central Dauphin High School, I was an educator at Susquehanna Township High School for sixteen years. For my first thirteen years, I taught, social studies, and the final three years I served as the assistant principal. I am currently starting my twenty third year in education, and starting my tenth year as an assistant principal.
Just to give you a brief synopsis of who I am, I have lived in Lower Paxton Township for fourteen years with my wife, and two sons, who are proud graduates of Central Dauphin High School. I am also a diehard LA RAMS fan and a Star Wars/Star Trek/Sci-Fi super fan.
During my brief tenure here at Linglestown Middle School, I have been warmly embraced by students, staff and community members. I am excited about this new opportunity, and look forward to many years shepherding our young students on their journey towards fulfilling their academic, social and career goals.
