Welcome to Lawnton Elementary School!
"One step at a time, every student learns, every child grows!"
Lawnton Elementary School seeks to create a positive and inviting learning environment that encourages high expectations for success, through rigorous instruction that accommodates individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe and caring environment where students and teachers work collaboratively in order to create a community of learners. We strive to have parents, teachers, and community members play an active role in our students’ learning.Principal's MessageDear Lawnton Families and Community Members,My name is Stephanie Bruno. This is my sixth year as principal here at Lawnton, and I love every minute of it. I was raised in this area, graduated from Central Dauphin High School and am dedicated to this community. I have been working for the school district in various capacities since 1999. For the first four years, I taught at the elementary level and for the last three years of my teaching career, I taught sixth grade at the middle school level. Before coming to Lawnton, I served as the Assistant Principal at South Side Elementary for 4 years. My undergraduate work was completed at Bloomsburg University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. I obtained my Master's of Science in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.I am very happily married to Mr. Bruno :) . My daughter, Amber, will be starting her senior year at Millersville University!. We have two little boys who keep us very busy! Anthony is 8 and Andrew is 5.
I enjoy playing with my kiddos, reading, shopping, home improvement shows, date nights with my husband, computer games, crafts, www.pinterest.com (where I find a ton of great ideas for school and home), drawing, picture journaling, going out to dinner, the beach, vacations, and spending time with my family and friends.
Education has been and will continue to be an important part of our family life. I look forward to educating your children and working with the parents and community as we prepare our students for a successful future.Feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.Yours Truly,Mrs. Stephanie Bruno717-558-9430
