Welcome to the
Tri-Community Elementary School's
Individual Reading Teacher pages can be found under the Staff channel.
At Tri-Community we use the MTSS Model (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support).
First grade through fifth grade has reading skills groups 45 minutes each day.
Students also receive guided reading instruction and have core reading time in their homerooms.
Kindergarten has reading skills groups half an hour a day.
Reading grades are given by the homeroom teachers.
Please contact your child's homeroom or skills group teacher if you would like more information.
Remember that a great way to help your child with reading is to read with them every day!
After reading, ask your child about the characters and what happened in the story.
Take turns reading to your child and your child reading to you!
Let your children choose books that interest them.
It's okay for children to read and reread the same stories! It actually helps their fluency
(being able to read quickly and accurately).
