About Tri-Community Elementary

TRI-COMMUNITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS UNIQUE & SPECIAL

Tri-Community Elementary School is located among three small communities: Bressler, Enhaut and Oberlin.

Tri-Community is one of the 13 elementary schools within the Central Dauphin School District. The Central Dauphin School District serves 11,400 students. The current Tri-Community student population is approximately 400 students.

Tri-Community has some neighborhoods where families know one another and have interacted for generations. Our school is a reflection of our world with students from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We are nestled in a lovely setting in which students experience the changing seasons and enjoy being outside in good weather.

Our school was built in 1971. Since that time extensive renovations have been completed. The renovations include a new wing of six classrooms and resource rooms, remodeling of existing classrooms, expanding the library, a new computer lab, an elevator, a new communications system, and air conditioning. We’ve recently become modernized in the area of technology through hardware installation and continual up-grading of computers.

We have been using RtI (Response to Intervention) for the past eight school years.  This program focuses on reading and behavior support.  It allows us to better understand our students' needs and address them accordingly.

With our diverse population, we attempt to include everyone in the affairs of the "SCHOOL COMMUNITY".  Parents are encouraged to become involved in Tri-C activities, both during school hours as volunteers and after-school hours in programs. Community athletic associations and service organizations use our facilities throughout the school year and in the summer to provide activities for our students.

The staff at Tri-Community is caring and truly attempts to meet the needs of all children.
