Chambers Hill Parents/Guardians,

From September until October 21 Chambers Hill ES worked hard on a school fundraiser to add  technology to our school. It was called the RACE FOR EDUCATION. The kick-off assembly explained how students would be bringing in mailing labels for mailers to be sent to family, friends and relatives, asking for donations for our school. On October 21 was the Race Day – with stations for kids to engage in fun gym activities, dance at the Dance Party station and drink water to quench their thirst at the Water Station. There were many parent volunteers manning the stations and monitoring the Race (Thank you parents!!). Students and some parents ran around the perimeter of the school, with everyone counting their laps. This was a great community day!

The Race for Education was extremely successful! To date, we have raised over $8,200! This is the most money ever raised in one fundraiser at this school!

The agreement was if the school raised over $7,500, Mrs. Lopez would have CRAZY HAIR FOR A WEEK! So, she will be fulfilling her promise! Her week of Crazy Hair will be November 14-18! Students and teachers have given her some great ideas for this week!

Thank you parents and families for your support of our school! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!!

The link above has a map of the new traffic pattern for the Car Pick-up Procedure at Chambers Hill ES.

Notice how you enter at the entrance by the Fire House and loop around at the dock to pick up

your child in front of the school.

Display your number on your windshield. It matches the one your child has.

Staff will send your child to your car.

Chambers Hill Elementary is a school-wide

Title I building.

What does that mean?

Title I is a 100% federally funded supplemental education program that provides financial assistance to local educational agencies to improve educational opportunities for educationally deprived children. Title I programs are designed to help children meet the state content and performance standards in reading, language arts, and mathematics. In buildings with 40% or more poverty, the funds can be used to upgrade the entire curriculum of the school and are School-wide Programs. The purpose of a School-wide Program is to improve the academic achievement of all students.
