Central Dauphin School District has recently completed a pupil transportation and geographical planning study to improve the efficiency of our transportation system. As recommended by the study, we are reorganizing our staff and updating our software program in order to better serve the student population.
As we update our transportation software program, all students will be transported to and from the closest established stop according to their home address. If you require a stop other than the stop closest to your home (babysitter, daycare, etc.), please complete the Child Care Provider Transportation Request Form and return it by mail to the District's Transportation Department at 714 Rutherford Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109 or fax to 717-214-1887. You need to complete one form per family. All forms must be received by the last work day of July, in order to guarantee transportation for the beginning of the upcoming school term. At the beginning of the school year, it may take up to three weeks to process change requests.  During the waiting period, students are to continue to use their last assigned stop until the school has notified the parent/guardian of the approved change request.

Change requests during the school year, but after the first three weeks of school, will typically require 3-5 days to process, evaluate and then communicate back to the parent/guardian.

If you have any questions, please call the Transportation Department at 717-541-0680, extentions 287, 245, 281 or 243.
